If you keep firewood outside , keep it raised off the ground. Trim shrubs, bushes, and other greenery away from foundation. Move mulch away from foundation as well. Remove infested trees and stumps. Repair leaking faucets and water lines, both indoors and outdoors. Fix leaky roofs and gutters. Grade soil so that water runs away from the foundation. (including air conditioning condensation pipes). Ventilate crawlspace and attic to reduce humidity. Install plastic sheeting on the soil in your crawlspace (80%). Wood siding, Stucco, and foam board should be a least six inches away from the ground. Caulk and close off any cracks to crawlspace or foundation opening.
